Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum - San Jose
The Egyptian Rosicrucian Museum is a small, strange museum in San Jose “home to the largest collection of Egyptian Artifacts in Western North America”. Dig a little deeper, though, and you find it’s an alchemical enclave’s collection.
The Egyptian museum is embedded in the Rosicrucian Park, “the headquarters of the English Grand Lodge for the Americas of the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis”. The park takes up a city block and includes a labyrinth, peace garden, shrine to Akhenaton, etc. The park was established by Harvey Spenser Lewis, an Imperator of AMORC.
