Wind-blown Uvas
Windiest day I’ve experienced on Uvas – gusts must’ve been 50mph+. On the downside this means that Morgan Hill is out of power, our garage-side fence was blown to pieces, and the metal dragon was slain.
Kept up with lifting; incremental improvements continue. Moved chest and tri’s to follow shoulders – worked better than following it with back and bi’s. I need more weight to lower the reps next set. Next two weeks will be in LA, so I’ll need to adapt this for a bar vs dumbbell. Good variety / cross-training.
…The 11th Week of the Year
Freshly sore in the legs from basketball yesterday, so went to the opposite side of the body with the shoulders. Progress still feels solid, and I think I’m just about at last year’s should press max.

Got in a round of F1 racing at Imola with EBJ today – lowering assists threw off EBJ’s game, but I landed first off a quarter length race of 14 laps. Lost a ton of time coming into the pits, but avoided the speeding-in-the-pits penalty was able to keep 2s ahead of Checo (#2). AI is at 51, we can definitely move up a ways. Worst enemy isn’t the others, its clearly our own mistakes.

Woke up and took off from Novato early to play basketball with RN and friends. We actually ran like 5 (?!) games to 15, 5v5. Something like 2h of actual playtime. It was incredible – I played like shit, but it was a great workout and I could see my space to improve. My legs are blown, and I’m going to need a long soak tonight.
Bakar UCSF gym is great for me skill-wise – good mix of abilities, and not too crowded. Honestly, I was the tallest person out there so I should’ve been leaning into the gap and bullying the other team. Instead I tip-toed in the short-midfield.

CEO, CM, and I traveled up to see my parents today – through the fog to rain up 880, passing the enormous Tesla factory, unexplored downtown Oakland, the port cranes which never appear to be operating.
Up in Novato I got a 3.5mi run in. Fairly slow pace at 9:20s / mi, but hey! that’s the first bit of jogging mileage I’ve logged in a couple of months – with basketball tomorrow morning I definitely want to ease into it.

Another tired day – I think it is those heavy bike rides. Gotta push through this day two weariness otherwise I’ll be knocked out by it come Sunday of STP. Soreness wise I’m pleased with how the old bod’ is taking it – no typical ACL tightness. I’ll [mis]attribute credit to ramping up and compulsively bend-over-fold stretching it.
Up here in Morgan Hill we’ve received a right antediluvian 3.6 inches of rain over the last twenty-four hours. Still sprinkling, but conditions are forecast to slack off until Monday when we’re in for a dumping.
