Feb 24th, '23: Working and Stuck in Jackson
My flight out of Jackson was full canceled. Managed to book a flight on Alaska instead taking off at 2:55p and flying direct to SF :flex: kinda amazing.
Tomorrow I’ll:
- Wake up round 9a MT (chance to sleep in, no alarm)
- Exercise: bodyweight chest & Hotel coffee
- Check-out at 11a probably? See if I can leave my stuff with the office
- Burrito at D.O.G
- Check for shirt at the cowboy
- Leave for airport by 12:30p
- Boarding round 2:15p
No company in org emacs
Company mode auto-completion slows down org mode for little value as compared to coding. Hooked in a function to disable company mode (if it’s defined) on org-mode start.

Full day of skiing, and I’m feeling in the groove: less sore, more efficient, and having a better and better time. As always, it comes together as I leave. Still, as always, the process feels right.
Today was my last day of skiing, for this trip. Tomorrow is work and at-home/hotel conditioning: ab circuit it is.

Feb 21st, '23: Work day in JH
Today I worked hard, stretched lightly, and ate well.
Fitness
I am sore AF today from the snowboarding yesterday. I stretched alongside a “bird of paradise” prep yoga prep. I’m like 45° away fom pulling the move off, but it’s an incredible inner thigh stretch.
Inner thigh muscles include gracilis and adductor magnus / brevis / longus.
Alarm is set at 6:45a to try and bet at the mountain by 8:30a
…Feb 20th, '23: 2nd day in JH
Snowboarding is, like, way more difficult than I remember. Today we got about 5 real runs in, and I could barely drag myself into the chair to traverse out. In sum, excusing myself from working out further.
It does seem to especially target legs, I’ll give myself four days before lifting legs after Thurs. I’ll need to temper the boarding with yoga – I can feel day one deep in my tendons and lower back. On the positive side, left shoulder feels great.
