Sunday before LiB

Posted on May 21, 2023

Spent a chunk of today packing for LiB – trailer is ready and I’m taking off on Wednesday.

Beyond that, the weekend felt aimless. I went through the motions of both being on top of my commitments (lifting weights, packing, work prep, seeing family) and putting in time to the things I enjoyed (sim racing, reading, CEO) but feel dissatisfied and perhaps a bit frustrated. That being said, just writing it out, giving it a label of ennui puts it in a box outside of me.

Keeping up with the Lifts

I have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning before we take off, so enough days to the full range of sets in. Today was shoulders

My rib should be fully healed next week, so somehow it’s the strained tendon for my middle left finger that’s been causing trouble. I haven’t been pushing the grippers (what caused it in the first place), but humans gotta grip and I keep working it enough to keep it strained.

Finally, I’m going to continue not tracking individual workouts in this document. I quietly fell off two weeks ago because 1) I had a workout plan established, 2) it was adding friction to getting my workouts in, and 3) the habit was built! Mission successful. I’ll continue to somewhat obsessively focus here, in writing, on the habits I’m trying to develop. Once ingrained I can let go.
