It’s raining cats & dogs today, poodles abound. Something like 10inches over the weekend in the Santa Cruz mountains? Honestly, sounds dangerous. Rainfall shouldn’t be as bad on Morgan Hill’s east of the Santa Cruz coastal range, but it is dumping. Uvas Reservoir was already full, so this will again flow right on downstream. keep an eye on the local online flood indicator.
I don’t have a good setup for lifting in the rain. My bench + dumbbells sit outside, so the best I can do is toss a tarp over it and wait for life to dry. What’ll work is to move the bench and weights down to the garage tonight – by tomorrow I can get my chest and tri’s in.
Today I went with an easy-to-do-indoors core workout. Added hanging leg raise to the mix as the fourth exercise, though I’m admittedly under-powered for it and only able to hit x5 reps. Will be triumphant to hit 3x10 on it.

Also, got in 2h of cycling on the rollers. My brunswick is feeling it, calls for more saddle hours to prep. I’m still roughing in 15mi / hr, and will have more accurate numbers once the cateye computer mount arrives. Note to self to lube up the chain to cut out its creaks.
