Back to Morgan Hill

Drove from Arcata back home to Morgan Hill. Snow on the 101 pass near Willits, and stopped with the parents to nom and nab Curie.

Open wheel racing openers abound today. Watched the Bahrain F1 season opener this morning with OR and GR – not a particularly exciting race, but a rich modern nostalgia to watch with that crew. Drove home that OR and BRK are true friends. Godlonso is looking to be the one to take it to RBR, but he’s a mile off their pace. Indycar is more dramatic by a margin, but part of the reason is how often the cards collide. St. Petersburg is an unforgiving street circuit where understeering wide puts the care into the barriers and out of the race. Herta (crashed out again :sob:), Grosjean (similarly crashed), Dixon, and O’Ward all tussling is dramatic. It is for sure the more dramatic racing. Gotta figure out how to watch full races.

Tomorrow I’d like to check out the Mt Madonna YMCA in Morgan Hill. If it has a basketball court I’m 100% golden, and even without one having a full gym will let me push the edge and get some variety.
