Snowy Arcata

Whelp, it took far longer to get up than I’d expected, into Eureka around 11p. Lodged in a Best Western for the night (the late staff were funny and threw some shade on the Best Western in Arcata).

Arcata feels to be thriving. Some of the classic restaurants turned over (Folie Deuce, etc.) On the bright side, one of the plaza bars turned over into a thrift store.

Took the drive up Fickle Hill and then back to Old Arcata Rd by Fresh Pond in the Mazda 3. I mention the car, because the pass had a few ft of snow. The road itself was [mostly] clear, incredibly beautiful / fun loop.
