Feb 18th, '23: Packing for JH
Exercise exercise
For weightlifting I’ll get to Chest & Tri’s today. Maybe mix in an extra exercise? The four different exercises seems a bit on the anemic side.
returning after exercising ouch ok four is enough when it comes to my shoulders. My left front deltoid still feels tight / tender and I don’t want to tweak it on week two.
As for cardio: CO said she might Hogwarts it, in which case I’ll solidarity bike it – let my imagination transform my trainer to a broom :bike:
Bicycle Repair
Speaking of cycling, I have some work to get my stable back up. At a high level: the karate monkey needs it’s tubeless tires fixed up, the packrat needs to be inflated, and all bikes (Cannondale included) need to get their chain lubed.
J.Hole Prep prep
Heading to JH tomorrow, a beautiful chance to get some snowboarding with buddies in while filling the fog of war, visiting a new place. Looking to be super powder-y with a few feet falling over the week, and super cool temperatures (sub-zero) that’ll keep it sharp ☃
I’ve been occasionally getting in some cross-country skiing (put in a few sessions with CO, SJ and Cr… ehh I guess I was snow-shoing, but close enough). Snowboarding, however – it’s been like 3yrs+. Price was tough, but there is no physical high like carving on a board, switching sides, and biffing it in powder.
To reiterate my logistics, getting to SFO is looking like:
- in bed
- alarm
- uber
- arrive
- board
- connect with EB and NW after I land
Sadly one of the crew couldn’t make it. Usually it’d been me, but this time pour one out to DT.
Complicatedly, this steps on the toes of catching up with RN and I wasn’t able to reschedule my Friday return flight as hoped. I’ll just have to let RN know I’ll be getting in round midnight the night before and might be running a bit late.
